We here at Arbor View Family Medicine love being involved in the Lancaster community, and at the end of July, we will once again be attending the Lancaster Festival.  With ten days worth of art galleries, street paintings, performances, shows, and concerts, you’ll be sure to find quality entertainment and something fun for the whole family to partake in.  Dating back to the summer of 1984, the Lancaster Festival has had a rich history of bringing the area’s greatest artists together.

A must see every year is the Lancaster Festival Orchestra, who won the American Prize in Orchestral Performance in 2010.  Each year the festival draws top talent to perform and this year is no exception, concert goers are looking forward to seeing Mo Pitney, Thompson Square, and Blues Traveller at this years headliner events.

It is quite remarkable that a city the size of Lancaster is able to put on a festival of this magnitude.  It demonstrates the community’s heart and determination, and would not happen without the work and planning of many amazing individuals.  From the artists to the vendors to the impressive attendance, which grows larger each year, the Lancaster Festival is a great way to enjoy your end of July. We truly live and work in a very special community.

We are thrilled to once again be participating in the Festival Fair day, which is on Saturday, July 25. There will be fun and games, and plenty of food for the whole family. We’ll  have a booth, where you can stop by and see us! Come say hello or even take a picture of your children with one of the famous minions from the new Minion movie! You can learn about the Festival Fair day and all the great events at http://www.lancasterfestival.org. We will also be offering a free blood pressure check while you are there. Be sure and stop by to see us!

Come join the Arbor View team and the rest of the Lancaster community in celebrating the arts at one of Ohio’s greatest community festivals. It promises to be 10 days filled with art, music, and lots of fun. We hope to see you there!
